Christmas Lunch at Bonefish Macs 2019

Have to share with you a story about what happened after our last show of the 2018 season.

Harry and I were almost finished packing up from today's show when a little girl named K. showed up with her grandmother. They had passed by the art show earlier and K. noticed all the tents and questioned her grandmother about what they were there for. Upon hearing the explanation, she told her grandmother "Well, I can do that!" After returning home she insisted that she had to draw a picture and take it to the art show! Her grandmother tried to convince her it was probably too late but she was very insistent. Grandma drove K. over so she could deliver it. We thanked her and told her to keep drawing pictures and bring it back to our next show in January.

Sandra Odell giving Ashley Monks, the Indiantown Middle School Art teacher, our yearly Jensen Beach Art League donation of $300. This was on March 30, 2018. Ashley teaches children that are in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades and they do a diversified course in arts and crafts. Ms. Monks was very appreciative of our donation.

Check Presentation to the Indiantown Middle School

On May 10th, 2017,  President Sandy Odell presented a check from our Art Education Fund to the Indiantown Middle School's Art Classes.  Art teacher, Mrs. Ashley Monks and Principal, Mr. Raimann were very happy to accept the check from the Jensen Beach Art League for their upcoming classes starting in the fall.  Mrs. Monk teaches Art to grades 5 through 8 and all will benefit from some much needed funds for Art supplies.

February 14th, 2016 Outdoor Show and Special Old Masters Exhibit

Our Valentines Day show with a Special Old Master's Exhibit turned out to be a huge success.  Another great show at Indian RiverSide Park in Jensen Beach along the beautiful Indian River Lagoon.  Sandy Odell did a great job coordinating this special event.

Pictured above is Hugh and Sandy Odell with Ed DeDecker and Jo Bury.

Members of the Jensen Beach Art League participated in the Stuart Courthouse Cultural Center's "Color, Color, Color" Exhibit which runs through August 15th, 2015.  The members are Ed DeDecker, Sandy Odell, Connie Plews, Joe Young, Carol Hughes (2nd place watercolor), Gary Cadet (honorable mention acrylic), and Ray Reiland (1st place 3D).

Ron Perkins spent the day demonstrating his acrylic painting and colored pencil techniques to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade art classes of Teacher, Karen Haines, in 4 sessions on Friday, May 1st, 2015 at Jensen Beach Elementary School.

Sandy Odell presented our donation check from our Art Education Fund to the Indiantown Middle School.  Art Teacher, Ashley Monks and Assistant Principle, Roseanna Rynca were thrilled to accept our donation since Ashley was using her own money to buy art supplies for the kids.
